My Journey
Academic and Leadership
BORN IN CAMEROON, SHAPED BY AFRICA, AND COMMITTED TO THE WORLD
After Graduating with honors from F.X Vogt College, I earned a scholarship to study in Morocco, thanks to the South-South cooperation program. This journey from Cameroon to Morocco deepened my belief in the power of Pan-Africanism; I’ve always seen myself as someone built in Africa, by Africans, for Africa.
My relationship with leadership began many years ago. The first time I encountered the concept of ‘leadership’ was back in 2008 when I joined the newly established Young Leaders Club at my school. That moment marked the true beginning of my journey as a young leader, setting me on a path of growth and purpose that continues to shape who I am today.
Academic and Leadership Track Record
I was glad to be one of the 25 young leaders selected to take part to the Eastern Economic Forum as a youth delegate representing Cameroon in Vladivostok from the 3rd to the 6th of September under the Friends for Leadership as part of the New generation program.
I was glad to be one of the 140 young leaders from 25 countries across the continent taking part from May 6th to 8th to the first edition of the Bridge Africa Summit, organized by the Mohammed VI Polytechnic University on its Benguerir campus. We reflect our needs as leaders, to develop ourselves, and to build our network.
I participated in the initial brainstorming of Bridge Africa, contributing to defining the program’s area priorities. I also played a role in coordinating and managing projects for the Strategy Team.
ASLEM, or Morocco Alumni, is an association of all foreign graduates in Morocco. In my role, I regularly review the organization’s financial statements to ensure accuracy and transparency.
I graduated with honors as a Mechanical Engineer.
This role was a life-changing experience where I had the honor to give back to the community. With my dream team, we organized several events, including the first edition of the « Study in Morocco » forum with over 100 participants, providing opportunities for young Cameroonians in Yaounde. I also led workshops with influential figures, such as the ambassador, to address students’ concerns.
Civil Society
I participated in the 16th Youth University and the 2nd edition of the University of Young Leaders of African Civil Society, hosted by the Development Center of the Tensift Region at UM6P in Benguerir and Marrakech from July 25 to 28, 2019. Under the theme ‘Youth, Innovation, and Development of Africa,’ I represented Cameroon as a delegate alongside young participants from 25 countries across the continent.
I successfully organized the third edition of the National Aeronautics Day, which attracted over 200 visitors. I was responsible for sponsorship management and also served as the moderator during the panel discussions.
I majored in Mechanical Engineering and was actively involved in both CASAM and EMIAERO, an aeronautics club at the school.
I was invited by the Marrakech City Council to participate in a workshop on 01/02/2017 as part of the Capacity Building Program for Local Authorities in the Field of Migration (RECOMIG), supported by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit).
As the leader of the Marrakech section of CASAM, alongside three other members of the leadership team, we organized numerous activities and events to strengthen community bonds and promote Cameroonian culture in Marrakech.
From November 4th to 6th, I had the pleasure of participating as a young delegate in the 12th Conference of Youth (COY). During the event, we engaged in various conferences and workshops aimed at finding solutions to address climate change.
As a communication assistant for UCAMI (University Cadi Ayyad Marrakech Initiative), I was involved in tasks related to the association’s communication strategy. I participated in several activities, including the « Science Caravan » internally and represented UCAMI as a youth delegate at the COY12 (Conference of Youth).
I graduated from high school with honors and earned a scholarship to study at Cadi Ayyad University in Marrakech, Morocco. During my two years there, I studied Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science while actively participating in various leadership experiences.
Attending one of the most prestigious high schools in Cameroon marked the beginning of my journey toward excellence. I pursued a scientific major for three years, focusing on rigorous academic growth.
I participated in core leadership training sessions tailored to our audience, which introduced me to the fundamentals of leadership. I engaged in various community activities organized by the club and learned the principles of leading by example. Additionally, I received first aid training from the Red Cross Cameroon.
